The brand new contest location for the Focal Press Monthly Photography Contest is now open!
The theme for the March contest is “COLOR” sponsored by Mobile Digital Art: Using the iPad and iPhone as Creative Tools by David Leibowitz.
This month’s contest is sponsored by a very colorful, inspirational book and a very colorful author. So, it is very fitting that the theme of this month’s contest is COLOR, in all its infinite variations.
Mobile Digital Art: Using the iPad and iPhone as Creative Tools, is a step-by-step guide to creating stunning art from your own photographs on your iPad or iPhone, using the hottest apps. Over 65 expert artists from around the world contributed to the book and show how they created their original art, from inspiration and conceptualization, to the creation of the final image.
David Leibowitz, the author and our guest judge this month, brings over thirty years of experience with photography, computer art, video art, and experimental filmmaking to his current position as a pioneer in the developing medium of Mobile Digital Art. With a multitude of images created in various mediums and the latest tools and techniques, Mr. Leibowitz, camera still in hand, continues his pursuit of new methods to match new visions.
Check out David’s website to see some of his amazing creations and to get inspired!
